Salone del Mobile 2023. A New Trade Fair Experience
Salone del Mobile is the largest trade fair of its kind, held annually in Milan. Though the pandemic posed an extreme challenge for the exhibition, the return of the design fair is nothing short of triumphant.
Adapting to a post-pandemic world has inspired radical change in the program. Most notable is that the presentation this year is focused on finding ways to evolve with user needs, including becoming accessible across a single level.
After a few difficult years of reflection and questioning around the future of trade fairs, this new edition will be fuelled by three significant departures from Salone’s traditional format: a single exhibition level that simplifies and improves accessibility; a new Euroluce layout, which rather than being stand-centric is now focused on people with a smart, hyper-accessible and better connected loop-shaped path; and finally, an integrated cultural program at Euroluce that includes talks, workshops and more.
