The Mater Dome Lamp is an award-winning piece of luminaire designed by Todd Bracher. Timeless and iconic with a spherical shade, which creates a gentle glow. Available in two sizes and in various finishes, Dome is a minimalist and streamlined table lamp designed to complement both residential and commercial decor.
All lighting in the Mater Collection are made of materials that have sustainable elements from recycled aluminium to certified wood. Common for all our collections is that the light sources are the newest LED technology which is the most sustainable source of lighting we have today. The LED we use saves up to 85 percent energy compared to old energy sources and can last up to twenty years. Todd Bracher was born in New York, but moved to Copenhagen at the age of 24 to study design in the city where heroes such as Arne Jacobsen and Poul Kjærholm had lived. After his stay in Copenhagen he moved to Paris, Milan and London before returning to his roots and moving to Brooklyn.
Despite his New York roots, Todd Bracher’s work takes the Scandinavian design tradition as its reference point. It was this fascination with Scandinavian design which took him to Copenhagen to graduate from Danmarks Designskole
