Celebrating 100 Years of Verner Panton

Cult Singapore | 15% Off Selected Pieces | 1–14 March
Few designers have shaped modern interiors as boldly as Verner Panton. Born in Denmark in 1926, Panton challenged the conventions of Scandinavian design. At a time when natural materials and restrained palettes dominated, he introduced a new visual language, defined by vibrant colour, geometric forms and an experimental approach to materials.
Throughout his career, Panton pushed the boundaries of what furniture could be. He was among the first designers to fully explore the potential of moulded plastic, leading to the creation of some of the most recognisable pieces of the 20th century, including the iconic Panton Chair, the world’s first single-form, cantilevered plastic chair.
But Panton’s vision extended beyond individual objects. He believed in creating complete environments, immersive interiors where furniture, lighting, textiles and colour worked together to shape mood and experience.
His work was bold, optimistic and forward-thinking. Nearly a century later, it continues to feel contemporary.
From 1 March to 14 March, enjoy 15% off selected pieces at Cult Singapore — a limited-time opportunity to invest in design built for the long term.
