After a successful six years of B2B contract sales in Asia, Cult Singapore is now opening its first physical retail space to service both trade and retail clients.
Now open at 48 Club Street, the new showroom is housed in a conservation property, which has been gently restored by Paper Plane Architects to design a space that interplays the traditional, the contemporary and the timeless.
Cult Singapore is open Monday - Saturday, from 10:00am - 7:00pm.
The Cult Singapore team is passionate about authentic, quality and timeless design, ensuring only the highest levels of craftsmanship in the furniture and lighting on offer. Furniture and lighting brands available at the new Cult Singapore showroom include well-known Australian collections from nau, Tait and Coco Flip, plus Danish design houses &Tradition, Vipp, Gubi and HAY.
Cult Design has been active in Singapore since January 2017 with an office offering B2B contract furniture
services. To date, the Cult Singapore team have completed projects in China, Hong Kong, Indonesia,
Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Philippines and Thailand. Significant projects include Citibank Wealth Hub, Spotify
office, Hilton Hotel Orchard Road refurbishment all in Singapore, plus several Hermes retail stores across
Asia.
Ravi Shankar, Business Development Manager for Cult Singapore, expands on the local design scene:
“It’s
always evolving, and I’ve really seen the local taste mature. Affluent Singaporeans are willing to spend more
to furnish their homes and businesses now than ten years ago, when only the wealthiest individuals and
corporations would consider ‘designer’ furniture. Singapore also remains a gateway to South East Asia,
with some of the best design work for the region being undertaken by firms in Singapore. This is likely to
continue with the steady influx of talent and organisations from areas such as Hong Kong and Shanghai.”

The opening of a physical retail space, is a response to clients’ repeated requests for a physical presence
in the CBD area to experience the best of what Cult offers first hand for themselves. Club Street is part
of the hip Chinatown enclave and is well known for its restaurants and active nightlife scene. It is also
home to a growing number of bespoke and boutique retailers, making it the ideal location for the new Cult
Singapore showroom.
Richard Munao, Cult Founder and Director, shares more on the decision to open a physical
showroom:
“Our first six years in Singapore were dedicated to relationship building with key clients and
increasing the Cult brand awareness within the regional design community. We gained confidence as
we grew, plus the confidence of our brand partners, which naturally led to the conversation of opening a
physical store. During the pandemic the rising demand for well-designed furniture for the home also led to
a sharp increase in retail enquiries, sales and repeated requests from retail clients for us to have a physical
store to visit.”
